We started Dr. T’s Apothecary to provide a healthy, all-natural, environmentally sound alternative to commercially produced body bars and body wash and to help those around us with sensitive skin. Using old recipes that my great-grandmother perfected while raising 5 kids on a farm, we gave our soaps away to family and friends. They enjoyed our products so much that we used one of our customer’s connections in the area to donate the extra soap to abused women and children. We received great feedback that we decided to start selling the soap at farmer’s markets and outdoor venues to earn cash donations for the shelters.
As our customer base grew, so did our product line and, before we knew it, we built a website to keep up with demand.
